Additional emergency aid delivered to Typhoon Bualoi victims

As of October 2 afternoon, the total value of direct aid from the Vietnam Red Cross Society Central Committee to people affected by Typhoon Bualoi exceeded 5.5 billion VND.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRCS) on October 2 launched the second phase of emergency relief for residents in the northern and central mountainous provinces heavily affected by Typhoon Bualoi and its aftermath.

A total of 3.42 billion VND (around 129,565 USD) in goods and cash mobilised through a fund-raising campaign hosted by the society in coordination with the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank) to support people in areas affected by floods will be provided for residents in Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, and Quang Tri provinces.

Cash and aid packages will be handed over directly to families severely impacted by the storm.

As of October 2 afternoon, the total value of direct aid from the VRCS Central Committee to people affected by Typhoon Bualoi exceeded 5.5 billion VND.

The VRCS will continue the campaign until October 30, aiming to call for donations from organisations, businesses, and people nationwide for disaster-hit areas.
