Mr. Bao noted that Quang Tri Province has benefited from valuable support provided by the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam and several Chinese non-governmental organizations through programs and projects focused on community development, education, emergency assistance, poverty reduction, and the remediation of war legacy issues, including unexploded ordnance, as well as disaster recovery. He added that the province is currently home to 11 foreign direct investment FDI projects by Chinese investors, with a combined registered capital exceeding 69 million USD. These projects are primarily concentrated in the garment manufacturing, renewable energy (wind and solar power), and seafood processing sectors. Notably, in April 2026, the Quang Tri Provincial People’s Committee signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Pacific Construction Group to promote cooperation, share expertise, and enhance connectivity and information exchange in key areas, including urban infrastructure, transportation, energy, industrial parks and clusters, as well as culture and tourism.
