This was a significant activity expressing the traditional relationship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos in general, between Savannakhet and Champasak provinces and Quang Binh province in particular, contributing to strengthening and developing a good relationship and comprehensive cooperation between two Parties and States.

In recent years, the parties, authorities and people of Quang Binh, Savannakhet and Champasak provinces have actively promoted comprehensive cooperation in all fields; organized annual meetings between high-ranking delegations to exchange experience and timely inform each other of socio-economic situation of each province to coordinate and discuss solutions for socio-economic development, maintenance of national defence and security, building the Parties and authorities.

On behalf of the high-ranking delegation of Quang Binh province, Chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai described the special relationship as an invaluable asset of the two nations and affirmed the long-time friendship and relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general, between Quang Binh and Savannakhet and Champasak in particular during the cause of national construction and defence.

Chairman also expressed his pleasure to great achievements that the Party, government and people of two countries obtained in the fields of politics, economics, culture, society, national defense and security.

In order to boost comprehensive cooperation with the provinces of Laos in general, with Savannakhet and Champasak in particular, Quang Binh has strived to invest and upgrade traffic infrastructure for development of trade, tourism and investment promotion.

Chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai also expressed his hope that the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, between Quang Binh and Savannakhet and Champasak will be constantly strengthened and developed.
