On the side of the delegation, there was Ms. Atsuko Toda, Country Programme Manager of IFAD Programme in Asia and Pacific Division; Mr Joseph Ray Goldberg, an economics specialist and Mr Ronald Thomas Hartman, Operations Adviser of IFAD.

On the side of the province, there was Mr. Phan Lam Phuong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chief of the Provincial Project Steering Committee; Nguyen Huu Hoai, Vice-chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chief Assistant of the Provincial Project Steering Committee together with the project's members and specialists.

At the working, two sides discussed and agreed some matters, such as: spend more time to inspect the project implementation progress; invest in building the rural projects, seeding center, breeding pig farm and quarantine station. The Provincial Project Management Unit (PPMU) need fulfil the plans for vocational training based on the survey of labor market and prolong vocational training period to help students improve their skills; open a training course for cadres; report to the communes and districts on the progress of reimbursement in midyear and at the end of year; supply photocopy machine for the poorest and farthest communes and implement some detail surveys of agricultural economy to set up the plan for spending and income in 48 communes, and so on.

Ms Atsuko Toda highly appraised the obtained success of the projects and said that the implementation of the projects in the past time initially achieved the set goals. Rate of poverty has been reduced remarkably, meeting the aspiration of community, bringing the interests to the people and contributing to improving the life of the people, especially poor people. The province need strengthen the financial management and create favorable condition to help the people develop the economy, asked Ms. Atsuko Toda.

Addressing the working, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong applauded the support of the project in the past two years and suggested that the delegation need supplement a number of components in investment so that the project is carried out quickly. The province will create favorable conditions to implement the project, bringing the best results to two sides.
