Groundbreaking ceremony for a two million tonne a year capacity cement plant

(Quang Binh Website) - In the morning of Feb 12 2009, the Vietnam Building Materials Company, Ltd held a groundbreaking ceremony to build a two million tonne a year capacity cement plant in Van Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Le Thanh Hai, Secretary of the Vietnam - Kazachstan Alliance Cooperation Committee; Mr. Luong Ngoc Binh, Permanent Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Phan Lam Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representative of province-level departments and related localities.

Representative of investor granting VND500 million to Van Hoa commune to build the cultural works in the area

The project of the cement plant of the Vietnam Building Materials Company, Ltd is invested with the total capital of VND4,000 billion under the approval of the Government. This is a synchronous clinker production line, installed by modern and advanced equipment. The project is expected to complete within 24 months as from handing over the clean site to the Vietnam Building Materials Company, Ltd. Once putting into operation, the Van Hoa cement plant will create a breakthrough for the local socio-economic development towards the industrialization, provide jobs for hundreds of local laborers and pay VND100 billion a year to the State budget.

Addressing at the ceremony, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong recorded and applauded the investment and cooperation of the Vietnam Building Materials Company, Ltd. He asked related departments and branches to create all favorable conditions to help the Vietnam Building Materials Company, Ltd deploy the implementation of the project as scheduled. Chairman Phan Lam Phuong also asked the investor to mobilize all forces to execute the project, ensuring the quality and environmental sanitation. The Provincial People's Committee will continue to create favorable conditions and direct related departments and localities to co-operate with the investor to implement the project effectively.

At the ceremony, Province Permanent Vice-chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai and representative of the Vietnam Building Materials Company, Ltd released 300 sparrows so as to represent the commitment with local people to ecological environment protection. On this occasion, the Vietnam Building Materials Company, Ltd also granted VND500 million to Van Hoa commune to build the cultural works in the area.
