A live TV program titled ''Unforgettable Song'' to mark the 62nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27)

(Quang Binh Website) - In respond to the 62nd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27 1947 - July 27 2009) and in commemoration of eight martyrs - young volunteers who sacrificed in Tam Co Cave, Road 20 Quyet Thang, in the evening of July 25 2009 at the Central Square of Dong Hoi city, the Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee, Vietnam Television and Nang Pha Le Joint-stock Company jointly held a live program with the theme "Bai Ca Khong Quen" (Unforgettable Song).

Attending the program was Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Luong Ngoc Binh; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Phan Lam Phuong; Vices-chairmen of the Provincial People’s Committee, members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Council and leading representative of departments and branches together with veterans and former young volunteers.

The program included two main parts. The first part depicted the fight of hardship, the losses and sacrifices of soldiers. The second part extracted the Play titled "Hon Trinh Nu" (Virgin’s Soul) which showed lively images of the life, fight and majestic sacrifices of eight heroic martyrs in Tam Co Cave, Road 20 Quyet Thang, Quang Binh province. The whole program left an unforgotten and moved impression in our memory of heroes, martyr and young volunteers who sacrificed their youth and life for the cause of independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

The program "Unforgettable Song" was also an opportunity to express the deep gratitude to martyrs and war invalids, veterans and former young volunteers as well as contribute to heal the pain of the war for the martyrs’ relative and educate young generations of the nation’s tradition "When drinking water, remembering its source".
