The ''technical'' opening of Quang Hai Bridge
Quang Hai Bridge Project is invested by the Department of Transport of Quang Binh province and executed by four main units, namely: the Central Construction and Investment Joint-stock Company; the Transport Construction Company No.473; the Tuong Minh Construction Consultancy Company and the Thanh Dat Construction Consultancy Company. After over six years of construction, Quang Hai Bridge spanning Gianh River, linking two communes of Quang Phong and Quang Thanh to two communes of Quang Hai and Quang Loc has been so far completed. The project includes components of Quang Hai Bridge 1, Quang Hai Bridge 2 and the road across Quang Hai commune connecting Quang Hai Bridge 1 and Quang Hai Bridge 2. The bridge has 684 meters long with the total invested capital of the project of VND167,217 billion.

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong emphasized that the construction of Quang Hai Bridge plays an important role in socio-economic development of Quang Binh province in general and two districts of Quang Trach and Tuyen Hoa in particular. This is a long-time desire of local people in southern communes of Quang Trach district. In the future, Quang Hai Bridge is a useful mean to effectively exploit building materials and mining. Chairman Phuong also asked the executive units to continue completing the remainder of the project to quickly put it into use and assigned the People's Committee of Quang Trach district, departments and branches as well as related units to have a close combination in order to protect and uphold its effectiveness once Quang Hai Bridge officially putting into use, aiming at promoting the province's potentials and strengths so as to develop economy - society, national defence - security in the new period.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee granted the Certificate of Merit to four individuals and four collectives; Director of the Department of Transport awarded the Certificate of Merit to a collective and eleven individuals for their excellent achievements in the implementation of Quang Hai Bridge.
