DTiNews determined to deliver more relief to flood victims
On October 18, the relief team of DTiNews/Dan Tri and Vinamilk came to Tan Hoa Commune which was just brought back to “the stone age” by the flood.
The contributions for Quang Binh equaled VND200 million and were collected from firms, organisations and individuals in Hai Phong City, Quang Ninh Province, Ho Chi Minh City and a Vietnamese Canadian.
Earlier, on October 16, the relief team gave VND500,000 worth of and instant noodles, notebooks, rice and instant soup to each household in the two communes of Quang Phong and Quang Phuong in Quang Trach District.

The local People’s Committees have also received VND5 million each to repair their headquarter’s after the flood.
On the same day, the group of Quang Binh Import & Export JSC offered gifts for teachers at the Quang Binh Sponsorship Centre. The company representative said it would contribute VND7.5 million to help abandoned babies at the centre through the Compassionate Hearts Charity Fund of DTiNews/Dan Tri.
Mobifone has recently pledged to donate VND259 million for the flood-hit households through DTiNews/Dan Tri.
Additionally, thousands of readers have contributed nearly VND200 million combined along with other items of necessity via the newspaper. These donations will be delivered to the central region as soon as the flood water subsides.
During previous flooding in the region on October 10 to 13, DTiNews/Dan Tri along with enterprises, organisations and individuals provided donations worth a combined VND2 billion to many flood-stricken areas.
