Established in the late 14th century, Ly Nhan Nam village (now called Nhan Trach commune) associated with the name of famous general Ho Cuong (in the end of the Tran Dynasty). In period of the Nguyen Dynasty (over 200 years ago), Ly Nhan Nam communal house was the place where celebrated cultural activities, folk festivals and public activities of the village. During the resistance war against the French colonialists, Ly Nhan Nam communal house was a secret liaison point of patriotic people. The communal house was destroyed in the anti-American resistance war. The images of Ly Nhan Nam communal house is now only in the memory of the village elders.

In order to maintain and preserve cultural and historical values of the Ly Nhan Nam communal house, the people, clans and association of fellow-countrymen of Nhan Trach commune collected more than VND3.7 billion, of which VND3 billion raised from Nguyen Hai Ly, a businessman and native of Nhan Trach commune, to rebuild communal house. It has a total area of over 500 square meters and 12.7 meters in height. The communal house is not only a place where worships the souls of tutelary god and ancestors, but also heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroic martyrs and revolutionary credited people. With these significances, Ly Nhan Nam communal house becomes a spiritual symbol of Nhan Trach commune.
