Northern Food Corporation: hands over 151 houses to policy families in Minh Hoa district

(Quang Binh Website) - The People's Committee of Minh Hoa district in coordination with the Northern Food Corporation on August 31 held a ceremony to hand over 151 dwelling houses to policy families in the district.

Implementing Resolution No.30a of Prime Minister, the Northern Food Corporation donated to build dwelling houses for 151 difficult beneficiaries who are the wounded and sick soldiers and relatives of martyrs in Minh Hoa district. A total expense for construction was estimated to nearly VND3.7 billion. As of August 30, 100% of houses was basically completed.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice-chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung expressed his thank to the Northern Food Corporation for helping poor people of Minh Hoa district in particular and Quang Binh province in general. Vice-chairman praised related agencies and unions in effectively implementing Decision No.167 of Prime Minister, contributing to helping local people overcome difficulties in their life. Vice-chairman also asked Minh Hoa district to continuously implement Resolution No.30a of the Government and speed up the progress of allocating land and forest for local people.

Signing ceremony to hand over houses to policy families in Minh Hoa district

Up to now, the Northern Food Corporation donated nearly VND30 billion to Minh Hoa district. Of which, implementing Decision No.167 of Prime Minister, the Corporation donated more than VND17 billion to build 680 houses for poor households in 2009; bought two ambulances for Minh Hoa district and supported more than VND2 billion for victims to overcome the consequences caused by the floods in 2010. At present, the Corporation is giving Minh Hoa district a support to build the vocational training center with a total value of approximately VND6 billion.
