Collect 14,144 old textbooks for poor pupils
(Quang Binh Website) - Over the past years, collection of old textbooks and donation of new textbooks for poor pupils and children of war invalids and martyrs have been actively responded and gained good results.
From early year to now, the province's education and training sector has collected 14,144 sets of old textbooks, of which granting 4,172 and borrowing 4,649 old textbooks to poor pupils; granted 944 sets of new textbooks to children of war invalids.
The whole province also raised over VND616 million for the fund to help poor pupils at risk of dropping out of school.
This is an annual activity to provide impoverished pupils in remote areas with textbooks for their studying, contributing to successfully fulfilling assigned tasks for the 2011-2012 academic year.
