Over US$158 million for Dong Hoi city urban environment and climate change project
The project has an estimated total cost of US$158.85 million, of which US$53.65 million from normal loan and US$31.57 from preferential loans will be used for the first phase; US$73.62 million loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and other sponsors will be used for the second phase.
Under the plan, the project focuses on collection and treatment of waste, upgrading the water drainage network, solid waste management and flood prevention, as well as improving basic urban infrastructure and construction of roads.
Speaking at the working session, Standing Vice Chairman stressed that climate change adaptation contributes to change the face of Dong Hoi city and create the resources to promote investment attraction and socio-economic development.
Vice Chairman Quang asked consultative unit to focus on investment in infrastructure construction in Bao Ninh commune, Dong Hoi city. The project is also required to comply with the city's general planning.
