The conference aimed to introduce and share experience in tourism business activity, strengthen exchange and tourism connectivity between local businesses and travel companies across the country, thus enhancing tourism products and tourism quality of Quang Binh province.

This is an opportunity to help Quang Binh tourism overcome shortcomings in the past time and uphold obtained results to meet the demand of tourists.

Through the conference, Quang Binh tourism sector has strengthened tourism connectivity and tourism development cooperation between the State management agencies and businesses to achieve a high effectiveness in the future.

At the conference, representative of the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism of Quang Binh province introduced on potentials and strengths of Quang Binh tourism to tourism businesses both inside and outside the province.

In 2013, Quang Binh province received more than 1.3 million foreign and domestic tourists. Alone in seven beginning months of this year, Quang Binh attracted nearly 2.4 million tourists, a twofold increase compared to 2013. At present, on an average, there are over 10,000 visitors to Quang Binh each day, especially an high increase of visitors to the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Vung Chua, Quang Dong commune (Quang Trach district).

Also at the conference, Nguyen Thu Hanh, Director of the Scientific Union for Sustainable Tourism Development introduced a new tour to learn about the place-names in association with the life and revolutionary cause of General Vo Nguyen Giap.

Reportedly, delegates has experienced famous tourist routes of Quang Binh province such as Tu Lan Cave System, Phong Nha Cave, Thien Duong Cave, Chay River - Dark Cave, Cave of Eight Voluntary Youths and the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap during three days (August 17-19).
