The honour is part of the Mekong Tourism Alliance Awards (MTAA), which is designed to present to the year’s best travel agencies, hotels, resorts, airlines and attractive heritages in the GMS.

Established in 2001, the Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park is home to magnificent cave system with unique values of geomorphology and morphology, and an abundant ecological system. It is now one of the most attractive destinations in Southeast Asia.

Especially, Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park was recognised by UNESCO as a world natural heritage for second time with two new criteria.

Besides, many new tourism products opens, luring a large number of tourists to Phong Nha – Ke Bang, including mud bath inside the cave, zipline to explore Toi (Dark) Cave, tour of visiting natural orchid garden and tour of exploring Trans-Dark Cave in the next time.

Currently, Phong Nha – Ke Bang has become one of the most experienced destination in the world’s tourism map.

This is an annual event to honour prominent achievements and delications of travel agencies in the GMS. They recognise quality an excellence in tourism and hospitality in GMS nations, including Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
