Spring-winter rice productivity achieved 54.48 quintal/ha
(Quang Binh Website) - Until end of May 2009, Quang Binh province completely harvested spring-winter rice with the productivity of 54.4 quintal/ha, increased by 0.82 quintal/ha against the spring-winter rice last year, according to information from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Maize also achieved the highest productivity with 46.7 quintal/ha; sweet potato achieved the productivity of 70.1 quintal/ha, increased by 5.5 quintal/ha... The food output of spring-winter rice this year was estimated achieving 169,000 tonnes, increasing by 2.2% against the plan, of which rice achieved 148,200 tonnes, increased by 3% against the same period of year 2008.
