Provincial People’s Committee meets with the Korean International Cooperation Agency

(Quang Binh Portal) – On July 8, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee had a meeting with the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) led by Mr. Kim Sik Hyun, Deputy Resident Representative of KOICA Vietnam.

In 2011-2012, the Project of equipment supply for Quang Binh Vocational Secondary School was funded by ODA loans from the Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) with an expense of US$2,962,000. Up to now, the project has completed and put into use. However, in the process of technological transfer, there were some difficulties in approaching, managing and using equipment and technology for teaching.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee offered KOICA to continuously give a financial support for training and improving capacity of approaching and using technological equipment for teachers.

In addition, Vice Chairman also introduced some projects calling for foreign investment in some industries such as: garment, industrial electricity, tour guide…

Vice Chairman expressed his hope that KOICA will carry out surveys to invest in the provine’s priority fields in the forthcoming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Resident Representative of KOICA Vietnam highly appreciated the obtained results of the project in the past time and said that KOICA will give a support of training and improving capacity of approaching and using equipment which are provided by Korea for teachers.

With respect to projects given a top priority for investment in cooperative relationship of the province, KOICA will carry out surveys about the practical demand of labour to have a supporting plan.
