Receives more than VND3,300 million in aids from NGOs

(Quang Binh Portal) - On March 28, the Provincial People"s Committee issued Decision No.848/QD-UBND on receiving non-governmental aids from the Zhishan Foundation Taiwan Organization.

Accordingly, in 2016, Zhishan Foundation Taiwan funds more than VND2,644 million to Quang Binh province for presenting scholarships and providing a free orthopedic surgery for disadvantaged children and building friendly library.

781 scholarships will be granted to disadvantaged students at all levels; 30 poor children will be provided with a free orthopedic surgery, especially children under 18 years old to help them quickly rehabilitate and integrate into community.

Besides, construction of friendly library will be also carried out in eight primary schools in Bo Trach district, aiming to educate pupils to comprehensively develop on languages, thoughts, personality, sentiment, aesthetic morals and habits of self-study and self-practice.

On the same day, the Provincial People's Committee also approved Decision No.847/QD-UBND on receiving a non-governmental aid from the Hoa Sen humanitarian organization (the United States).

Accordingly, the Hoa Sen humanitarian organization will fund US$30,000 (over VND660 million) to conduct the project with the aim of providing a support of heart surgery for poor children. Duration of the project will last from 2016 to 2018.

The Provincial People's Committee asked related agencies, units and localities to receive and use sources of aid effectively in accordance with State's regulations of management and use of non-governmetn aids.
