A delegation of Lao Heritage Department of Lao visits Quang Binh

(Quang Binh Portal) - On the afternoon of October 6, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People"s Committee Nguyen Xuan Quang had a reception with a delegation of the Department of National Heritage, Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of Laos and the departments and branches of Khammouane province.

The Lao delegation's visit aims to exchange experience in heritage management in order to build dossier for recognition of Hin Nam No National Park as the world natural heritage site.

At the reception, on behalf of Lao delegation, deputy head of the Lao Department of National Heritage Buaphan Phanthavong shared with Quang Binh province on difficulties caused by the 10th storm.

He also highly appreciated socio-economic achievements that the Provincial Party Committee and authority of Quang Binh province achieved in the past time, especially in work of conservation and promotion of the world natural heritage site - Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park.

He expressed his hope that provincial leader will create favorable conditions for the Lao delegation to exchange experience in heritage management so that the delegation builds dossier for recognition of Hin Nam No National Park as the world natural heritage site.

Deputy head of the Lao Department of National Heritage believed that Vietnam and Laos will further tighten solidarity relation and traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation in all fields.

In turns, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his pleasure to welcome the Lao delegation's visit to Quang Binh province.

Vice Chairman affirmed that Quang Binh always attaches special importance to friendship between Vietnam and Laos, and pledges that the province will create favorable conditions for Lao delegation to exchange experience in heritage management, helping Khammouane province build dossier for recognition of Hin Nam No National Park as the world natural heritage site.

Reportedly, the Lao delegation will have a meeting with the Management Board of Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park to exchange experience in heritage management on October 9th.
