Overseas Vietnamese in Russia donate to flood-stricken victims

TPO - On September 20, in Ha Noi, Mr. Le Ngoc Huong, President of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Russia granted a donation of over VND 156 million ((9,750 USD) from the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Russia to help flood-stricken victims in the central provinces of Quang Binh and Ha Tinh.

At the receiving ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Committee Tran Trong Doan highly appreciated the "golden heart" of overseas Vietnamese in Russia.

Deputy Chairman greatly sympathized with the life of overseas Vietnamese in Russia. Although many overseas Vietnamese work hard to earn their living, they always think of their fellow-citizen.

On behalf of the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs, Deputy Chairman of the Committee Tran Trong Toan received above donation and promised that the funds would be provided to flood victims as soon as possible.

Addressing the ceremony, Mr. Le Ngoc Huong said "Overseas Vietnamese in Russia regularly organizes collections to help the disadvangtaged in Viet Nam as well as support the Fund for Agent Orange Victims, Fund for Veterans' Organization, etc".

He affirmed that the money is not much but it expressed the deep sympathy of overseas Vietnamese to inland people.

Although Overseas Vietnamese in Russia meets this year many difficulties in their life and business because of Russia's modification of policy, the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Russia collected over VND 156 million.

This money was mainly contributed to by the large enterprises, such as: the International Commercial and Economic Center (Matxcova) - VND 81,600,000; FG Group (Matxcova) - VND 32,400,000; Overseas Vietnamese Association in Upha - VND 19,000,000; Minton Company (Matxcova) - 9,400,000; VITACOM (Kanda) - VND 9,400,000 and T&M Trans Company - VND 4,800,000.
