Quang Binh: 99.42% of voters cast their ballots to elect deputies to the 13th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2011-2016 term

(Quang Binh Website) - Together with voters throughout the country, 558,179 voters of Quang Binh province cast their ballots to elect deputies to the 13th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2011-2016 term.

In this election, Quang Binh province had 2 constituencies to elect deputies to the 13th National Assembly, 12 to elect deputies to People's Councils at provincial level, 60 to elect deputies to People's Council at district level and 1,084 to elect deputies to People's Council at commune level.

By 22:00 p.m of May 22, the province had 554,951 voters going to the polls, reaching 99.42% of total voters, of which there were 652 polling stations and 63 communes, wards and townlets, reaching 100% of voters going to the polls. Some polling stations have accomplished early elections by 10:30 a.m. Some localities led the province in terms of the rates of voters going to the polls, including Tuyen Hoa (99,90%), Quang Trach (99,89%) and Bo Trach (99,84%), according to the statistics from the Provincial Election Committee.

Earlier, on May 19 and 20, seven remote communes of Quang Ninh , Bo Trach and Minh Hoa districts held early elections with the rate of voters going the polls reaching over 99%.

Thanks to the locality’s efforts in propaganda and preparations, the elections in Quang Binh province were performed in a democratic, safe and economic manner and in line with law./.
