Thanks to the efforts of localities in propaganda and preparations, the holding of elections for deputies to the 13th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2011-2016 term in Quang Binh province were successfully performed in a democratic, safe and economic manner and in line with law.

The province had 554,951 voters going to the polls at 652 polling stations, reaching 99.42% of a total voter turnout and, notably, 100% of registered voters in 123 out of 159 communes and wards cast their ballots on Election Day.

Statistics show that six deputies were elected to the 13th NA, 50 deputies to the provincial People's Council, 248 deputies to the district People's Council (minus one deputy) and 3,947 deputies to the People's Councils at commune level (minus 106 deputies). 17 deputies were re-elected to the People's Councils at commune level.

At the session, Chairman of the provincial Election Committee highly valued obtained results of the elections in the past time and asked all agencies and localities to draw experience from elections in localities.
