Quang Binh High School for the Gifted officially changes its name to Vo Nguyen Giap High School for the Gifted

Established in July 11, 1996, Quang Binh High School for the Gifted specializes in training good students for Quang Binh province.

In the academic year of 2014-2015, the school has 30 classes with 979 students; 100 cadres and teachers meeting the standards; 48 teachers with master's degree, accounted for 48%; a doctor; 8 teachers studying master's degrees and 52 good teachers at provincial level. Rate of high-school education graduate students reached 100% and ranking 56th position among 200 high schools passing the university entrance examination.

Many students has gained high achievements at the international contests such as silver medal and brozen medal in maths and physics. Especially, this is also the school attracting the most excellent high-school students of Quang Binh province.

After the naming of Vo Nguyen Giap street - the road has about 7km in length and 60m in width, running along the coast of Bao Ninh commune, linking Quang Ninh district and Le Thuy district, the renaming of Quang Binh High School for the Gifted to Vo Nguyen Giap High School for the Gifted has a great significance, expressing deep affections and gratitude of Quang Binh people to General Vo Nguyen Giap, a model teacher and a outstanding son of Quang Binh motherland.
