The meeting was attended by members of the Project Steering Board, representative of the Dohwa consulting unit, KT Corporation contractor in Quang Binh and VATEX subcontractor.

QBSC includes two main contract packages, including the package No.7 (construction and equipment) implemented by KT Corporation contractor and the package No.2 (consulting services) provided by Dohwa consultants.

According to the report of the Management Board of QBSC project, the package No.2 has been completed consulting services, technical construction designs, total estimate and bidding support. It is currently in the process of supervising construction and training and guiding the operation of the system.

The package No.7 includes three components, of which two components have been completed; the system of electricity has been installed at 385 positions; equipment import has been completed with total value of USD 4,560,543. As of December 31st, 2017, 39 out of 42 villages have been installed equipment; three villages are currently in pilot operation, including Doc May (in Truong Son commune, Quang Ninh district), Rao Con (Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district) and Dong (in Tan Trach commune, Bo Trach district).

In the first quarter of 2018, the QBSC Project Management Board will conduct a trial run, complete and hand over the project in order to put into operation for the remaining villages.

Speaking at the meeting, Head of QBSC project acknowledged the efforts made by the Project Management Board and contractor during the process of implementing the projects.

In order to ensure the project's progress, he asked KT Corporation and the Project Management Board in coordination with the localities to fulfil and hand over the project in January of 2018.
