Viet Anh’s mother has left to remarry, while his father has been struggling with leg injuries after a traffic accident. Since then, the boy has been living with his maternal grandfather.

Viet Anh and his maternal grandfather granted with the donation
His grandfather recently took him to the headquarters of Dantri/DTiNews in Hanoi to call for help after being told by volunteers at Vietnam National Hospital of Paediatrics when they came to the hospital for the medical check-up.
After the article about the boy was published, many readers have sent their money through Dantri/DTiNews’ Compassionate Hearts Charity Fund to help him.
At present, the boy has to use a wheelchair. Doctors said that he could die without urgent treatment.
