Special Task Board of Quang Binh and Khammouane provinces: talked and signed a coordination agreement on seeking and gathering martyrs' remains

(Quang Binh Portal) - In Thakhek town, Khammouane provine, the Special Task Board of Quang Binh and Khammouane provinces has recently held a talk and signed a coordination agreement on seeking and gathering sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Laos.

The event was attended by Vice Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung, head of the Provincial Special Task Board; Vice Governor of Khammouane province Khamsy Outhivong, Head of the provincial Special Task Board together with leading representatives of related departments and braches of the two province.

At the talk, the two side informed each other of socio-economic situation, security and national defence in the first six months of 2017. The two sides also evaluated the implementation of tasks on seeking and gathering sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Khammouane province during the past years; stated advantages, difficulties and coordinative results during the 2016-2017 dry season.

Also at the talk, the delegation of the Special Task Board of Quang Binh and Khammouane province signed a coordination agreement on seeking and gathering martyrs' remains during the 2017-2018 dry season. Accordingly, the Quang Binh Provincial Special Task Board continues to direct implemnetation of seeking and gathering sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Khammouane province to rebury at the Ba Doc Martyrs' Cemetery in Quang Binh province during the 2017-2018 dry season. The Khammouane provincial Special Task Board directs local authorities, agencies and armed forces and people of Lao clans and Khammouane province to create all favorable conditions to help the Team 589 of Quang Binh’s Military Command collect information, seek and gather martyrs' remains.

Besides, the Khammouane provincial Special Task Board will strengthen coordination with the Team 589 of Quang Binh’s Military Command in seeking and gathering Vietnamese martyrs' remains.

On this occasion, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung granted Certificate of Merit of Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial People's Committee to 11 collectives and 25 individuals of Khammouane province for their excellent achievements in seeking and gathering sets of remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in Khammouane province during the 2016-2017 dry season.
