Quang Binh Delegation Conducts Survey and Works with the Swiss Innovation Park in Biel/Bienne City

(Quang Binh Portal) - On June 9, 2025 (local time), in Biel/Bienne City, Canton of Bern, Switzerland, the Quang Binh delegation led by Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Doan Ngoc Lam, conducted a survey and held a working session with the Swiss Innovation Park in Biel/Bienne, as part of the “Program for promoting Vietnamese localities in the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Belgium”, jointly organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in coordination with the Vietnamese Embassies in the respective countries and the People's Committees of the provinces and cities: Quang Binh, Bac Lieu, Vinh Long, Hue, and Phu Yen.

The delegation were joined by Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council Nguyen Cong Huan; Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy; along with representatives from the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee, Department of Finance, and Department of Science and Technology.

The Swiss Innovation Park in Biel/Bienne (SIP BB) is one of Switzerland’s leading innovation centers and a key destination for those interested in the intersection of scientific research, technological development, and practical application. It serves as a bridge between scientific research, technology development, and real-world application. SIP BB operates with a mission to promote innovation and technology transfer, creating a conducive environment for companies, research institutes, universities, and startups to collaborate and turn breakthrough ideas into valuable products and services.

During the session, the Quang Binh delegation toured the facilities, listened to presentations on research outcomes, practical applications, and international cooperation activities of SIP BB. The two sides discussed and proposed potential directions for cooperation in fields such as manufacturing technology, artificial intelligence and big data applications, energy and the environment, expert training, and human resource quality enhancement.

This session laid the foundation for promoting specific cooperation plans in the near future, contributing to the advancement of science, technology, and innovation between Quang Binh Province, the newly established Quang Tri Province and SIP BB, as well as the broader Swiss Innovation Park network.
