Quang Binh invest in development of commercial centers

(Quang Binh Website) - Quang Binh's target till 2010 is to bring the province to escape the situation of being a poor province, and achieve average income per capital of US$700-800 in GDP.

In order to achieve above targets and orientations, besides paying much attention to investment in industrial development to shift the structure of economy, the Provincial People's Committee approved the master plan for commercial development of Quang Binh province till 2015 and its orientation till 2020. Accordingly, from now to 2015, the urban network of Quang Binh province includes Dong Hoi city (second-grade urban area), Ba Don town (fourth-grade urban area) and five townships and districts. Moreover, there are also some townships and urban areas along the corridor of Ho Chi Minh road and the National road No.12A.

It is known that the whole province will have 177 markets and each commune and ward will have 1-2 markets on an average. In which, there will be 8 first-grade markets (Dong Hoi: 2 markets, districts of Minh Hoa, Tuyen Hoa, Quang Trach, Bo Trach, Quang Ninh and Le Thuy: 1 market for each); 34 second-grade markets and 136 third-grade markets.

In the period of 2006-2010, in Dong Hoi city, there will build a second-grade commercial center with total area of 30,000 square meters, a second-grade general business supermarket and four third-grade supermarkets according to the standards of the Ministry of Trade.

After 2010, there will invest to build a third-grade commercial centre with total area of 20,000 square meters in Ba Don town and a third-grade supermarket in each town in the whole province. Under the master plan for the province's trade development, there will arrange commercial shops near the residential areas and main traffic road to be convenient for the people's travel.

With the obtained achievements in the past time, the Party Committee and the people of Quang Binh province will continue to strive and bring into play all resources to quickly bring the province to escape the situation of being a poor province, contributing to the cause of the country's renovation.
