Provincial People's Committee listens Project of establishment of Quang Binh Technical - Economic College

(Quang Binh Website) - In the morning of June 05 2008, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen the Project of establishment of Quang Binh Technical - Economic College. Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Lam Phuong presided over the meeting.

Attending the meeting, there were Vices-person of the Provincial People's Committee together with representative of related departments and branches and the economic secondary school and technical secondary school.

Quang Binh Technical - Economic College is established on basis of merging and upgrading the economic secondary school and technical secondary school. This is an interdisciplinary and multi-field college, diversifying in training methods. It aims at training at college and intermediate levels and lower levels in order to provide the staffs of skilled workers, highly qualified technician and engineers, meeting the demand for the provincial socio - economic development in the process of industrialization and modernization. Quang Binh Technical - Economic College has training majors, namely: motive mechanics, telecommunications electronics, information technology, aquaculture and business administration, etc. Since 2009, Quang Binh Technical - Economic College will start to enroll new students.

The meeting spent much time to discuss the ideas of the Project of establishment of Quang Binh Technical - Economic College, mainly focusing on the matters such as training majors, organization body, infrastructure, staff of lecturers, tasks and solutions and so on.

Closing the meeting, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong stressed that the Project of merging and upgrading the economic secondary school and technical secondary school to Quang Binh Technical - Economic College is an essential need of the society and in the policy of the Provincial Standing Committee of the Party. Therefore, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong asked the Department of Education and Training to coordinate with the related units to adjust the outline of the Project suitably to report the Provincial Standing Committee of the Party in July 2008, mainly focusing on specifying the College's functions, tasks and scope, putting forward tasks and specific solutions on organization structure, infrastructure and policies to attract well-qualified officials and training majors, meeting the demand for the province's socio - economic development.
