US$50 million project to provide drinking water to Central region
Local people in six Central provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Nam and Binh Dinh, will benefit from a water supply and sanitation project, said the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Accordingly, 65,000 households with about 350,000 people in 30 communes in these provinces will be provided with drinking water and hygienic toilets.
In addition, the project will also elevate public awareness of a healthy lifestyle and environmental protection, to improve the health for local people.
The US$50 million project will be carried out between 2010 and 2016.
