Primary school pupil gives his savings to needy peers

Do Minh Quan, a second grader from the primary school Doan Thi Diem, Hanoi, on September 24th, offered his savings of VND 3.25 million to a budget to build a new bridge for his peers in the central Province of Quang Binh.

Recently, Minh Quan had given VND 5 million to a program, “A million of notebooks for students in rural areas”, launched by the Dan Tri Newspaper.

After watching footage of pupils in the mountainous hamlets of Ong Tu, Ka Ooc and Hung, in Trong Hoa Commune, Minh Hoa District, Quang Binh, showing they have to swim across the river to go to school, Minh Quan, once again, urged his father to carry him to the Dan Tri Newspaper’s office to donate his savings to a project to build the bridge

Do Minh Hoa, Quan’s father, said that his son’s savings would make a small contribution to making construction of the bridge for needy pupils come true. In addition, Mr. Hoa also presented VND 7 million more to the project.

“I hope that the meaningful project will continue drawing the society’s attention in the coming time”, he added.
