The ceremony was attended by Standing Vice-chairperson of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong; Vice-chairperson of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung; Deputy General Director of Vietinbank Nguyen Van Du; representatives of agencies and localities in the province together with the supported households.

Vietinbank is the Vietnam's top-ranking commercial bank and plays an important role in the banking system in Vietnam. For the past several years, the bank has actively joined in activities for charitable purposes, social security and gratitude.

At the ceremony, Vietinbank handed over 200 houses of gratitude with a total value of VND5 billion to 200 poor households in Quang Binh province. Of which, 54 households in Le Thuy district, 99 in Quang Ninh district, 20 in Bo Trach district and 27 in Quang Trach.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice-chairperson Tran Tien Dung expressed his deep gratitude to Vietinbank for helping difficult households in the province.

Mr Dung stressed, this support is a great encouragement, expressing the national tradition of “Mutual affection” and “Good leaves protect tattered ones” to share difficulties with the society.

Vice-chairperson Dung hoped that in the coming time, the province will continue to receive the assistance of Vietinbank for construction investment in social welfare projects to join hands to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, and solve jobs, contributing to ensuring social security and economic development.

On this occasion, Vietinbank also presented gifts, including essential household goods, worth VND2 million each to the supported families.
