Rate of poor households fell by 3.71%
(Quang Binh Website) - In 2012, the province has solved jobs for 3.1 thousand laborers; poverty alleviation has been paid attention by all levels and agencies; rate of poor households fell by 3.71% as compared with 2011, reducing rate of poor households by 17.5% according to new standards.
Implementing the policy on housing assistance for poor households according to Decision No.167/2008/QD-TTg of Prime Minister, the province has built 5,884 houses for poor households, reached 97% as compared with the approved plan with a total expense of nearly VND240 billion.
The average income per person reached VND20.6 million; the people's life has been gradually improved, especially ethnic minority people in remote areas. The province also regularly provides a support for the poor on the occasion of the Lunar New Year Festival and the between-crop periods.
