Strong breakthroughs in building new rural areas

(Quang Binh Website) - According to the Steering Board for National Target Program on building new rural areas, 100% of communes has fully announced the approved plans of building new rural areas; 133 out of 141 communes have planted a landmark (making up 94.3%) and 108 out of 141 communes have been approved the detailed plan in the heart of communes (making up 76.6%).

Until late July of 2013, there have been a commune reached from 17 to 19 criteria; 10 communes obtained 13-16 criteria, 18 communes gained 10-12 criteria and 76 communes reached 5-9 criteria.

In the first seven months of year, approximately 242.600 square meters of land was donated with a total estimated value of over VND17.3 billion. Hundreds of households in districts of Minh Hoa, Tuyen Hoa, Quang Trach, Bo Trach and Le Thuy have voluntarily broken down their fences and cut many trees to clear land for infrastructure construction with a total estimated value of over VND7.7 billion and contributed thousands of workdays for road construction.

In addition, 9.21km of inter-commune roads, 41.95km of inter-village roads and 12.582km of interior field roads have been solidified; more than 20.33km of canal system has been concreted; 205 sullage pits and 2 pumping stations have been newly built and repaired; 85 classrooms and 51 temporary and dilapidated houses have been newly built.

As estimated, total mobilized capital for building new rural areas in seven months of 2013 gained VND498.633 billion (including capital sources from provincial budget, credit, businesses, contributions of residents and other sources).
