Official announcement on establishment of Ba Don town
Secretary of Provincial Party Committee speaks at the ceremony
Attending the ceremony were Justice Minister Ha Hung Cuong; Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Luong Ngoc Binh; Deputy Permanent Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation Hoang Dang Quang; Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai; provincial leaders through periods, revolutionary veterans, Vietnamese heroic mothers; representatives of provincial-level departments and branches together with many of cadres, civil servants, officials and people of Quang Trach district.

on adjusting administrative boundary of Quang Trach district for the establishment of Ba Don town and its six wards
At the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai announced the adjustment of administrative boundary of Quang Trach district to establish Ba Don town and its six wards.
Ba Don town has a natural area of 16.318,28 hectares and 115.196 members of households; and 16 commune-level administrative units, including 6 wards (Ba Don, Quang Long, Quang Phong, Quang Tho, Quang Thuan và Quang Phuc) and 10 communes (Quang Son, Quang Tien, Quang Trung, Quang Tan, Quang Thuy, Quang Minh, Quang Loc, Quang Hai, Quang Hoa and Quang Van).
Currently, Quang Trach district has a natural area of 45.070,22 hectares and 95.542 members of households and 18 communes.
With the establishment of Ba Don town, Quang Binh has 8 district-level administrative units (including 6 districts, 1 city and 1 town) and 159 commune-level administrative units (including 136 commune, 16 wards and 07 townships).
The establishment of Ba Don town has a great significance, marking a new step in socio-economic development of Quang Trach district in general and Ba Don town in particular. This will be a driving force for the Party Committee, government and people of Quang Trach district and Ba Don town to do their utmost to gain better achievements in building and developing their homeland.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Council, People's Committee, Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front of the Province, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Luong Ngoc Binh warmly congratulated the Party Committee, government and people of Ba Don town, acknowledged the efforts of the Party Committee levels, government, Front, organizations, departments and agencies in mobilizing all resources to bring Ba Don town to become a four-grade urban area.
He also hoped that the Party Committee, government and people of Ba Don town would focus on performing some key tasks in the coming time, immediately after becoming the town, making a new breakthrough to bring Ba Don town to develop in fast and sustainable way.

On behalf of leaders of Ba Don town, Secretary of Party Committee of Ba Don town Tran Thang thanked the Government, ministries, agencies and provincial leaders for assistance in the establishment of Ba Don town and saying that Ba Don will continue upholding the obtained achivements, reinforcing the organizational apparatus, strengthening the leading and effective management in socio-economic fields, national defense and security and Party building, contributing to fostering political stabilization and creating a driving force for development of new administrative unit.

Also at the ceremony, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee announced the Decision on the establishment of the Party Committee of Ba Don town and the Provincial People's Committee made an anouncement on Decision on the establishment of the provisional Party Committee of Ba Don town.
