With the theme named "Stop the war and conflict", the Miss Grand International 2017 will run from October 5 to 25 in Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Binh and Phu Quoc of Kien Giang province, drawing 90 contestants from across the world and is expected to attract tourists to these destinations.

Quang Binh is selected to host the final of the national costume contest. Apart from the final of the national costume contest at Sun Spa Resort on October 12 evening, a series of activities will take place from October 9-13, including: visiting Thien Duong Cave, sailing parade and cycling on Nhat Le river, attending charity activities, enjoying Quang Binh foods and sand skiing in Quang Phu, making palm-leaf conical hat etc.

The Miss Grand International 2017 will broadcast live on television channels of many countries in the world. The organizing board will also organize a series of companion programmes which will be updated daily on the internet.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tien Dung said that this is a good opportunity for Quang Binh province to popularise and attract more tourists to the locality. The province committed to create all favorable conditions to complete work of preparation for the national costume contest in Quang Binh.
