Total retail sales of consumer goods and services in October reaches VND 1,762 billion
(Quang Binh Portal) - According to information from the Department of Industry and Trade, total retail sales of consumer goods and services reached VND 1,762 billion in October, increased by 10.7% and VND 17,418.6 billion in ten months, grew by 9.6% from the same period last year.
For economic sector, total retail sales of consumer goods in ten months of 2017 reached VND 14,920 billion, rose by 8.7%; turnover from accommodation and catering services reached VND 1,495 billion, up 17.7%; turnover from tourism activity reached VND 199 billion, an increase of 23.9%; turnover from other services reached VND /805 billion, up 7.6% from the same period of 2016.
The Department of Industry and Trade said that the reason total retail sales of consumer goods and services in ten months has seen a high increase was that after the marine environmental incidents, the number of tourists to Quang Binh increased, so the turnover from tourism activity was also higher than that of last year's same period.
Besides, after the 10th storm, local people focused on buying kinds of essential goods to overcome the consequences such as building materials, foods, medicines, etc.
