Provincial People's Committee had a working session with delegation of the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam to prepare for inauguration ceremony of Dong Hoi Airport
On the side of the province, there were Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Lam Phuong, Vices-chairpersons of Provincial People's Committee and Directors of related departments and branches.
Dong Hoi Airport is built to meet 4-level standard, a terminal capacity of 300 passengers/hour. In the future, it will be extended and upgraded 2-level standard and able to receive the large-sized Boeing. After four years of implementing, so far Dong Hoi Airport is basically completed.
At the working, two sides agreed the inauguration ceremony of Dong Hoi Airport would be held on May 18 2008. After the inauguration ceremony, Dong Hoi Airport will be officially put into operation, meeting the need for the people's travelling in and outside province, especially the five-year anniversary of Phong Nha - Ke Bang as recognized as World Natural Heritage held on July 26 2008.
