Quang Binh: stone axe of primitive people discovered
(Quang Binh Website) - After a week of collecting ancient objects in Tan Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, the Quang Binh provincial Museum on July 31 morning officially announced the result: Among 40 unearthed ancient objects associated with the daily life of the Viet people have recently been discovered are remarkably two stone axes, typical of the Bau Tro culture at a same date (about 4,000-5,000 years ago).
The first stone axe is a quadrilateral axe with 12cm in length, 5cm in width and 2cm in thick, discovered in Tan Loc village. The second stone axe (photo) is a yellow axe with square shoulder and discovered in the family of Mr. Nguyen Duc Phu in Tan Da village. This stone axe is with 10cm in length, 5.2cm in width and 1.6cm in thick.
