PPC receives Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, non-resident pontifical representative of the Vatican in Vietnam

(Quang Binh Website) - Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli, non-resident pontifical representative of the Vatican in Vietnam, paid a courtesy visit to leaders of the Quang Binh province on December 05.

Receiving Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli was Vice-chairman of the Provincial People's Committee (PPC) Tran Tien Dung and representatives of related departments and branches.

During the meeting, Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli thanked provincial leaders for the warmly welcome and expressed his good impression on socio-economic development and people of Quang Binh.

He hoped that leaders of Quang Binh province would continue taking interest and creating favorable conditions for dignitaries and followers to involve in local activities.

On behalf of provincial leaders, PPC Vice-chairman expressed his delight to the visit of Archbishop Leopoldo Girelli and informed about the province's socio-economic development situation over the past time.

He highly valued the contributions from Catholic followers to the province's development and affirmed that local authorities always make a close relationship with dignitaries and Catholic followers, and create the best conditions for religious activities according to regulations of the law.

In addition to this, Vice-chairman also desired the Archbishop continue to encourage dignitaries and Catholic followers living in unity and good life, actively take part in activities of social security, contributing to the development cause of the province.
