Cha Lo International Border Gate: budget revenues rose 61%
(Quang Binh Website) - According to information from the Provincial Management Board of Economic Zones, total volume of import-export goods via Cha Lo International Border Gate in the six beginning months of 2014 achieved 1,151,226 tons, an increase of 33.65% compared to the same period last year, of which trade export reached 113.669 tons, trade import 468,899 tons, goods in transit 568,640 tons, non-trade goods 18 tons.
Turnovers of import-export goods reached over $761 million; State budget revenues reached nearly VND144 billion, rose 61% against the same period last year, of which revenues from export tax were estimated at nearly VND11 billion, from import tax reached VND2.7 billion, from value-added tax (VAT) reached over VND130 billion and from others reached nearly VND134 billion.
Main goods for export included building materials, coal dust, candy, garlic and fruits (re-export); import goods included plaster, fertilizer, cassava starch, wasted materials, buffaloes, diverse woods and fruits; goods in transit included iron ore, bronze ore, kali salt, electronic components and charcoal.
