Opening art program of the 2026 Khanh Hoa Cultural and Tourism Days in Quang Tri

The event aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two localities; introduce and promote Khanh Hoa’s distinctive cultural values, potential, strengths, tourism products, and destinations to the people, tourists, and business community of Quang Tri Province and the North Central Coast provinces; while also opening up new opportunities for cooperation in culture, sports, tourism, trade, and other related fields.

Delivering the opening remarks, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Long Bien affirmed that the Khanh Hoa Cultural and Tourism Days in Quang Tri is not only a tourism promotion and publicity event, but also an opportunity for the two localities to strengthen exchanges, share their distinctive cultural values, and translate the spirit of regional connectivity and cooperation for mutual development into concrete actions.

Through cultural and artistic exchange activities, the introduction of OCOP products, local specialties, cuisine, business networking, and destination promotion, Khanh Hoa Province aims to bring the image, people, and distinctive cultural values of the locality closer to residents and visitors from Quang Tri and other North Central Coast provinces. At the same time, the province encourages residents and businesses from Khanh Hoa to visit Quang Tri to explore and experience the historical, cultural, and natural values of this heroic land.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Long Bien emphasized that organizing the Khanh Hoa Cultural and Tourism Days in Quang Tri in conjunction with the launch of the Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh air route will establish a more direct and convenient connection between the two localities, contributing to increased tourist exchanges, trade, business networking, market expansion, and socio-economic development.

Khanh Hoa Province hopes to work with Quang Tri, relevant authorities, tourism associations, businesses, and airlines to effectively operate the new air route; develop inter-regional tourism products, promotional programs, and suitable tours and routes, thereby strengthening connectivity and expanding the tourism market between the two localities.

Speaking at the program, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism Ha Van Sieu highly appreciated the proactive efforts and strong commitment of the Party Committees and People’s Committees of Khanh Hoa and Quang Tri provinces in organizing the Khanh Hoa Cultural and Tourism Days in Quang Tri, contributing to opening a new bridge connecting the two culturally rich regions of Central Vietnam.

Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism Ha Van Sieu expressed his hope that in the coming period, the two localities will effectively and sustainably operate the Dong Hoi - Cam Ranh air route and regard it as a strategic connectivity axis for developing competitive inter-regional tourism products, linking Quang Tri's cultural and historical heritage with Khanh Hoa’s marine, island, and resort tourism. He also called for innovation in tourism promotion and marketing in a more professional and targeted manner; stronger digital transformation and the development of shared tourism data between the two provinces; greater engagement from businesses, airlines, and the tourism associations of the two localities in developing specific tourism packages and promotional programs, so that signed cooperation agreements can soon be translated into concrete tours, routes, and visitor flows; and tourism development associated with cultural preservation, environmental protection, and improved tourism human resources, toward harmonious and sustainable development.

Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism Ha Van Sieu affirmed that the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism will continue to support Quang Tri, Khanh Hoa, and other localities in tourism promotion, product development, market connectivity, air connectivity, and enhancing destination competitiveness. This will contribute to expanding effective cooperation models and creating further momentum for tourism development in the region and across the country.

A performance under the theme “Quang Tri - A Land of Warm-hearted Encounters”

The highlight of the program was a series of singing, dance, and instrumental performances under the themes “Khanh Hoa - The Sea Calls”, “Quang Tri - A Land of Warm-hearted Encounters”, and “Two Regions Moving Forward Together”. The performances showcased the natural beauty, cultural identity, history, and people of the two localities, while conveying a message of connectivity and promoting cultural values in association with sustainable tourism development.

As part of the program, the Organizing Committee introduced a tourism promotion video and guided delegates, local residents, and visitors to scan a QR code to access information about Khanh Hoa's destinations, tourism products, culture, cuisine, and travel experiences. This contributed to promoting the use of digital technology in tourism promotion and marketing, making it more convenient for visitors to access information and explore the locality's tourism products and destinations.

Through the 2026 Khanh Hoa Cultural and Tourism Days in Quang Tri, held from August 15 to 17, 2026, under the theme “Quang Tri - Khanh Hoa: From the Land of Fire and Flowers to the Green Pearl Bay”, the two localities continue to strengthen cooperation, leverage their respective strengths, and expand areas of collaboration, contributing to bringing the cultural values, tourism products, and destinations of Quang Tri and Khanh Hoa closer to residents and visitors.

The program was broadcast live on QTTV and livestreamed on the digital platforms of Quang Tri Newspaper and Radio and Television.
