Promote investment attraction in tourism infrastructures
Traffic system is convenient for transportation with the National Road No.1, Ho Chi Minh Road and the North - South railway system acrossing the province. Quang Binh also possesses many beautiful landscapes, including Vung Chua - Yen Island, the resting place of General Vo Nguyen Giap; Da Nhay beach, Nhat Le beach, Hai Ninh beach, etc. This is favorable conditions to develop sea tourism and build international-level leisure areas.
In addition, Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park, the world's natural heritage site, called the Kingdom of Cave with many famous and beautiful caves. Especially, Son Doong Cave is regarded as the world's largest cave and ranked in the list of 15 most beautiful caves in the world. Besides, Quang Binh also has the Bang hot water spring with the natural temperature of 105 degrees celsius, an ideal place for visitors to relax and discover ecological tourism.
According to report of the Department of Tourism, the province currently has 287 tourist accommodation establishments with many 3-5 star hotels such as Sun Spa Resort, Muong Thanh Luxury Nhat Le, Sai Gon - Quang Binh, Tan Binh, Riverside, Osaka, Vinh Hoang, etc; 33 travel companies, including 07 international travel agent and others.
With respect to investment and trade, the province has the Hon La Seaport Economic Zone (EZ), Cha Lo Border Gate EZ and industrial parks. Of which, Hon La Seaport EZ situates in the north of Quang Binh province with an area of 10,000 ha, of which the island of 1,100 ha. Hon La Seaport EZ together with the National Road No.1 and 12A, and the Cha Lo, Cau Treo and Lao Bao International Border Gates play an important role in creating the gateway to the east of the Central Laos, Northeastern Thailand and the Greater Mekong Subregion. At present, Hon La Seaport can receive vessels with a capacity of 15,000 tons; conduct construction investment for second phase to receive vessels with 50,000 tons.
The province is focusing on investment in Cha Lo Border Gate EZ with an area of 538 km2 in order to develop Cha Lo EZ to become the province's western urban and economic center. The Cha Lo International Border Gate EZ lies in the Association of nine provinces from Vietnam, Laos and Thailand using the Road No.8 and Road No.12.
Under the master plan to 2020, the province will develop 8 new industrial parks with an area of 2,000 ha, of which, 03 industrial parks have been invested synchronous infrastructures, including Dong Hoi Northwest Industrial Park, Dong Hoi North Industrial Park and Hon La Seaport Industrial Park.
Quang Binh has a source of abundant laborers with many trained laborers, meeting the labour demand for the projects. Annually, the province trains about 11,000 - 12,000 laborers with many different careers.
In the coming time, in order to meet the demand of socio-economic development, Quang Binh continues seeking more opportunities for investment and calls upon construction investment in international-level coastal tourism sites, the Phong Nha - Ke Bang National Park region, 4-5 star hotels at the Phong Nha - Ke Bang tourism site, Vung Chua - Yen Island tourism site, Bao Ninh peninsula, Bang Hot Spring, Nhat Le Beach and Da Nhay Beach.
Besides, the province also promotes development of trade, services, retail of goods; builds facilitates at industrial parks, non-tariff area, logistics, seaport; produces electronic products, assemble the parts of car and motorbike; processes woods, fibres, fabric and agro-forestry and fishery products; develops health, education and vocational training, etc.
