Improvement of Energy Efficiency in Rural Areas Project kicks off in Quang Binh

The project has a total investment of over VND148 billion to provide solar energy for 26 localities of six districts in the province. The project aims at improving the rural electricity system to reduce power loss and safeguard safety of the electricity grid.
The Central Power Corporation has approved technical design and total estimates and completed necessary procedures to start the project in 2012.
At the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman stressed the importance of the project to poverty alleviation and socio-economic development of the province.
In the forthcoming time, relevant agencies and localities should strengthen cooperation and create favorable conditions for the management board in the project implementation process, said Vice Chairman.
