Import-export across Cha Lo Border Gate increases sharply
According to the statistics, Cha Lo International Border Gate in the first months of 2013 has carried out nearly 900 customs declarations (up 60% against the same period last year); the total number of import-export means has reached over 3,700 vehicles of all kinds; volume of import-export goods reached 60,000 tons with import-export turnover of USD25 million (up over 70% against the same period last year).
In order to achieve these results, the Customs Department of the Cha Lo Border Gate has taken drastic measures to closely manage the volume of import-export goods; reduce traffic congestion and strengthen circulation of import-export goods across the Cha Lo Border Gate.
In addition, customs forces of Cha Lo Border Gate have closely coordinated with the police security and border guards to speed up the patrol, ensure security and social order; and prevent trade fraudulence and smuggling in border areas.
