A joint sitting to prepare for the 8th session of the 16th provincial People's Council

(Quang Binh Website) - The Standing Committee of Provincial People's Council on May 14 held a joint sitting to discuss the agenda for the 8th session of the 16th provincial People's Council. Chairman of the provincial People's Council Luong Ngoc Binh presided over the meeting.

The 8th session of the 16th Provincial People's Council will be expected to take place from July 16 to 18 at the meeting hall of the Office of the Provincial People’s Committee.

At the session, the provincial People's Council will hear the report of implementation of tasks in the first half and orientations as well as tasks in the second half of 2013; the report of implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the first half and tasks as well as solutions for implementing socio-economic development plan for 2013; and other reports and statements. The session will also discuss and adopt 7 resolutions relating to the province's socio-economic development program.

Under the plan, delegates will contact with voters from June 6 to 10 to inform of the agenda for the 8th session; report on the implementation of socio-economic development tasks for the first five months of 2013 and results for solving and answering questions of voters after the 6th session; and collect ideas and petitions of voters for the 8th session.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman Luong Ngoc Binh stressed the importance of the 8th session of the 16th provincial People's Council - a mid-year regular session. Chairman Binh also assigned specific tasks to relevant departments and branches in carefully preparing reports, statements and draft resolutions for the 8th session of the 16th provincial People's Council.
