Quang Binh strives to welcome 3 million tourists in 2017

In 2016, because of being seriously affected by the environmental incidents, the number of tourists to Quang Binh has seen a sharp decline during the peak season, causing many difficulties in tourism business for the province's enterprises and affecting to the life of more than 4,000 direct laborers and 7,300 indirect laborers.
In order to overcome difficulties and strive to welcome 3 million tourists to Quang Binh in 2017, the tourism sector has focused on implementing major solutions to resume tourism activities; organizing the Quang Binh Cave Festival, Day of Quang Binh in Ha Noi and the 2017 Dong Hoi City Culture and Tourism Week; opening new routes such as Son Doong Cave, Survival Cave - Thuy Cung Cave, Va and Khe Nut Caves; effectively exploiting forms of adventurous tourism, Zipline, etc;

In addition, the sector has also improved the quality of products and services; encouraged diversified development of new tourism products and services; invested in infrastructure construction; enhanced quality of human resources; promoted propaganda and popularization of tourism; paid attention to regional connection, international cooperation and tourism promotion; focused on domestic market, attracting foreign tourists from Thailand, Laos and China.
Besides, the tourism sector will focus on strengthening State management on tourism activities; well implementing reform of administrative procedures, creating favorable condition for enterprises to develop their business; continue deploying the master plan for tourism development of Quang Binh until 2020 and vision to 2030; speed up business environment management and tourism promotion, etc.
