Having a courtesy meeting with the delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party attending the Vietnam - Laos Friendship Exchange Program at Cha Lo International Border Gate
At the meeting, Major General Nguyen Van Thien, Deputy Commander of the Vietnam Border Guard, emphasized that the year 2022 is the year of friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and the 45th anniversary the signing of the Laos-Vietnam Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, senior leaders of the two sides agreed to direct the organization of commemorative activities from the central level, ministries, branches to local authorities.
In order to tighten the solidarity between Vietnam and Laos, in the coming time, the Deputy Commander of the Vietnam Border Guard wishes that the border management and protection force of the two countries continue to direct and effectively implement the high-level agreement between the two countries, cooperation plans signed by both sides; simultaneously, the two sides continue to direct activities to celebrate the Vietnam - Laos Year of Solidarity and Friendship to ensure practicality and efficiency, create a positive spillover, raise awareness of the border management and security forces and people about the good feelings of the two peoples forever lasting.
