Quang Binh Electric Power receives the First-Class Labor Medal

(Quang Binh Website) - The Quang Binh Electric Power has recently held a ceremony to receive the First-Class Labor Medal awarded by the State President and sum up its work in 2008. Attending the ceremony were Permanent Vice-chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Huu Hoai and leader of related departments and braches in the provincial area.

Over the past years, Quang Binh Electric Power has excellently completed the assigned tasks of economic and technical targets, electric business and telecommunications. So far, 157 out of 159 communes, wards and towns and more than 98% of households have used the national grid electricity; the total electric output has increased from 134.91 million kWh to 330.063 million kWh; the revenue from electricity from VND67,529 million to VND229,162 million; paying VND5,842 million to the State budget. Besides, the Quang Binh Electric Power has actively responded activities to support for "Fund for the poor", "Den on dap nghia" movement, building house of gratitude for martyrs' families and deleting thatched cottages for poor households. In the past year, the Quang Binh Electricity mobilized a support of VND560 million from its cadres, workers and civil-servants to build four houses of gratitude for the artillery women in Ngu Thuy commune; served two heroic Vietnamese mothers in their whole life; deleted thatched cottages for six poor households in Thanh Hoa commune, Tuyen Hoa district...

Acting on the State President's authority, Province Permanent Vice-chairman Nguyen Huu Hoai granted the First Class Labor Medal to the Quang Binh Electricity's staff; Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister to Mr. Cao Dinh Hieu, former director of Quang Binh Electricity for his brilliant achievements in the employment history.
