Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee receives delegation from Panansonic Viet Nam and World Vision International
On the afternoon of March 12, 2026, at the headquarters of the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC), Vice Chairman of the PPC Hoang Xuan Tan received an worked with a delegation from Panasonic Viet Nam and World Vision International in Viet Nam (WVI) on the occasion of their visit to present solar-powered lamps to communities in disadvantaged areas of the province.

Attending the meeting, on behalf of Panasonic Viet Nam was Mr. Taka Fujino, General Director of Panasonic Viet Nam, along with members of the delegation. Representing World Vision International in Viet Nam was Ms. Vu Thi Nga, Director of Program Operations.

Overview of the working session
At the meeting, representatives of Panasonic Viet Nam and WVI symbolically handed over 510 solar-powered lamps to households in two communes: Ta Rut and Huong Lap. These are areas that still face many difficulties, where several villages have limited access to electricity. The provision of solar lamps aims to improve living conditions for local residents while providing additional lighting to support students’ learning.
The solar-powered lamps donation project was approved by the PPC under the Decisions No. 2977a/QĐ-UBND and N. 2979a/QĐ-UBND dated 05 December 2025. The entire 510 lamps were sponsored by Panasonic Viet Nam through WVI.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman Hoang Xuan Tan expressed his sincere appreciation to Panasonic Viet Nam and WVI for their attention and practical support to residents in disadvantaged areas of the province. He emphasized that the decision of a reputable international corporation like Panasonic to implement corporate social responsibility activities in the province carries positive significance, contributing to social welfare efforts and improving the quality of life for local residents, particularly those in mountainous, remote, and disadvantaged areas.
The provincial leadership expressed his hope that Panasonic Viet Nam and WVI will continue to pay interest in expanding community support programs in the province, especially in the fields of renewable energy, education, child protection and care, and livelihood improvement for the local people. Besides, he encouraged the organizations to explore initiatives that combine social welfare support with technology transfer, as well as raising community awareness about the use of clean energy and environmental protection.

He reaffirmed that Quang Tri PPC will continue to create favorable conditions for businesses and international organizations to effectively implement aid programs, development projects, and investment and business cooperation in the province, thereby contributing to strengthening international cooperation and promoting the sustainable development of the locality.
