According to the report, the Storm No.5 had left 5 people died, 69 injured, 1 missing, 270 houses collapsed, 8,653 houses submerged under the water, etc. Estimated total damage came to VND 391 billion. As the typhoon passed, the provincial People's Committee mobilized all available resources to clean environmental sanitation, help the locals rebuild their houses and resume their normal life and production, restore and repair schools, health stations, dykes, traffic systems, electrical lines and other social welfare projects.

At the meeting, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee of districts reported total damages and proposed urgent measures to repair the damages caused by the Storm No.5.

Closing the meeting, Chairman Phan Lam Phuong praised the great efforts of all levels and departments in prevention and against the typhoon. "Weather condition is very complicated and difficult so we need to prepare measures to able to cope with next typhoon. Simultaneously, all levels and departments continue to focus on all forces to repair the aftermath of the Storm No.5, mobilize all available resources to clean environmental sanitation, prevent and against epidemics; reckon up total damages to timely provide relief aid, not letting anyone go hungry; quickly distribute relief to typhoon-hit people, not to happen the losses, wastefulness and negativeness. Department of Agriculture and Rural Development provides variety for the locals to prepare for winter crop", he stressed.

The main task of all levels and departments in the coming time is to check again the project to evacuate residents from landslides and endangered areas and plan the long-term project for evacuation and prepare reserve food for prevention and against the typhoon and flood.
